PICTURES I FOUND

EDITH FOLLETT - L’ART D’AIMER SERIES
ILLUSTRATIONS - 1920 | POEM BY OVID - 1 A.D.

I ask Google: Who Is Edith Follet?

Found for less than $15.

VISCOUNT VIGiER - LE CHAOS

A viscount is apparently something like a Baron and an Earl. I can’t quite explain to you what a baron or an earl is actually (should they be Baron and Earl or baron and earl?) what they do, or how one differentiates from the other but I do know they are important in the kind of way that vague royals these days are important. Viscount Vigier spent two months photographing in the Pyrenese, the photographs he later exhibited (such as ‘‘Le Chaos’) were highly acclaimed.
Found for less than $1.

ATLAS GENERAL - 1778
Where depictions of the stars take up half the atlas.

On Star Signs

Found for less than $10.

BLACK AND WHITE IMAGES (VARIOUS)

‘GROTTES DE HAN LA MOSQUEE’ - PHOTOGRAPHER UNKNOWN
1940S (approximate)

Grottes De Han, a tourist attraction in Rochefort, Belgium. The name translates to ‘Domain of the Caves of Han’. They have found relics from the bronze age in there, meaning people have been moving inside these things since around 5.B.C.

‘The mosque’ is a pretty common postcard image from the 40s. I have seen some scans of it online in colour, too.

Found for less than $2.

BYRD PARK - DEMENTI STUDIO

PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINT FROM DEMENTI STUDIO ARCHIVE.
COLLECTED WHEN I WAS AN ASSISTANT THERE IN 2014.

I wish I wrote the date down but I didn’t.

WHAT’S NEXT PRIVATISING THE SHADE?

Did you make this flyer? It doesn’t have your name anywhere.
Reach out so I can credit you.

Given to me by Prosper Australia in 2019 when I was researching the scale of vacant houses throughout Melbourne and how that impacts property availability.
